Trip to Utah (part 3)

Ok so this is the last part of our trip. Here we are Friday night at Tiffany's big number 10 birthday party. It was a blast. We were at the West Jordan pool and there was a kiddy pool, a fun pool with slides and a deep pool with diving boards. We had so much fun!

That concludes our trip to Utah. We had so much fun and didn't want to come home. Now back to the daily grind and the heat! Ahh well until next time Utah!

Trip to Utah (part 1)

We just recently went to Utah for a fun vacation and had such a good time seeing all our family! We Tuesday night and drove to St. George. Gavin did pretty good. He's done better but we made it in one piece. Then Wednesday morning we drove the rest of the way up. We met Eric's mom, Susan, and her husband Philip for lunch at Sizzler! It was so good!! Thanks Grandma Susan!! Then we stopped by Eric's old work and mine! It was so good to see everyone and show Gavin off!! Haha! After that we met up for ice cream with my Aunt Jane and cousin. Yummy! We all know I'm always down for ice cream! Then we just relaxed the rest of the night, which was very much needed!


On Thursday morning the boys all went for a round of golf and we girls took the girls and Gav to the zoo! It was super hot but really fun! Here are some pics from the zoo!

"I'm so HOPPY"

Ever since Gavin was two months old he has loved to jump, jump, jump!!! It's his favorite thing. Here is a video of him jumping on his bed. It's so funny! The outfit he's wearing even says "I'm so HOPPY"

Breathing Treatments

Here is Gavin getting one of his breathing treatments. He does pretty good considering it takes 6 mins of just sitting still.

One Sick Boy...update

So since the rash and everything else Gavin just wasn't getting better so on Monday we took him back into the doctor. She came in checked him out and then did a breathing treatment came back and checked again. She said that she couldn't hear anything but since he wasn't getting better she wanted to do a chest x-ray to make sure the pneumonia was gone. (Thank goodness our insurance kicked in on the 1st!) That was not fun! Gavin had to sit on this bike looking seat with his legs hanging down while these two big plastic things came in about his tummy and chest. I had to hold his arms up above his head so he basically was encased in a plastic tube once everything was in place. He just screamed and screamed! It broke my heart. Lucky the x-ray came back negative so the pneumonia is gone. No more antibiotic! Yeah! Which is actually what caused the rash..... Anyway since his cough was getting worse instead of better she said we needed to put Gavin on a nebulizer (sp?) and do treatments 3 times a day for 7 -10 days. So ..... hopefully this is the end of the month of sickness. We'll keep you posted on further developments.

What the heck?

Well its been quite a week and a half for us. Last Monday we took Gavin to the Dr. because he had been sick and just wasn't getting better. So the Dr tells us in the the beginning stages of pneumonia and he has to go on antibiotics for 10 days. Yeah..... so we start the meds and he seems to be doing better then all of sudden.....fever fever fever! Hot, Hot, Hot! So now we are pumping in Tylenol and Motrin. Finally fever breaks. So you think we are done? Nope. Yesterday morning Gavin wakes up with this horrible rash all over his chest, arms, neck, and face! It look awful! My poor little Gav. So we have deduced that the rash is either a heat rash or something called Roseola Infantum which is when you have days of high fever and then when fever breaks you get this nasty looking rash. Of couse whether its heat rash or the other there is nothing you can do but wait it out. So do you think we are done yet....... not yet. So then again yesterday Gavin is playing in his room standing up at his swing and of course swing moves when he pushes it and clocks him right in the lip. Split lip blood everywhere. All over my shirt, his face, in his mouth!!! UGH! Lucky it wasn't as bad as it first appeared. Now he just has a little fat lip on top of it all! I feel so bad for him. Needless to say we've had a long week and a half!
